Dr. Halima Abukabbos is currently a full-time clinical assistant professor and the director of the Advanced Education and Residency Program in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her advanced education residency, a postdoctoral fellowship, and a Master of Public Health (with a concentration in public health management, research, and policy) at the University of Florida. Board Certified in Public Health and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, she also serves as a CODA site visitor and a member of the ADEA PASS Application Advisory Group. An active member of the American College of Dentists and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, she provides dental care for children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs at University Dental Health Services. Additionally, she serves on the Pre-Doctoral Admission, Workload, Pediatric Dentistry Faculty Search committees and Special HealthCare Needs Taskforce as part of ADEA Section on Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Abukabbos brings more than 20 years of clinical experience to her patient care and academic roles.
