GHMF Practice Management Scholarship Applications Open Through November 1

The Gillette Hayden Memorial Foundation (GHMF), an AAWD sister foundation, is now accepting applications for the 2026 GHMF Practice Management Scholarship for New Women Dental Practice Owners.

Designed to support women dentists during the critical early years of practice ownership, the scholarship provides the selected recipient with eight one-hour virtual consulting sessions with Shelly Short of ZumWohl Consulting. Each session will be held via Zoom and recorded so the recipient can revisit the material and use it in the future with new staff or associates. The recipient will also receive a follow-up report after each session and a review at the beginning of the next session.

Topics will be tailored around the practical business of running a successful dental practice, including practice workflows, leadership and team development, financial health and key performance indicators, patient retention, hiring and team relations, scheduling, treatment presentation, work-life balance, and more.
